  1. The theme of the story "footnote to youth" means that people would always go with their feelings, without hesitations, they will do anything for the sake of love. The characters of the story is really suited to those teenagers who early get married. Its a reality because its happening. Nowadays, many teenagers jump into marriage when they got pregnant because for them its the only solution, without asking some piece of advice from their respective parents. For them, as long as they loved each other its easy for them to get married without knowing that in the middle and in the next page of their life they will encounter some obstacles that will challenge them in the future. We must not decide any decision in a hurry situation because it will cause too much regrets in the end, let as know first the consequences if we make that decision or not.

  2. "YOUTH will triumph LOVE will triumph next will be the LIFE".
As I read the story of Jose Garcia Villa entitled, "footnote to youth" with his theme mentioned above, there is a little reflection formed.
Teenagers show their behavior as an affectionate individual in the world of love. Mostly, they give everything in the name of love not knowing that they are just only one of the victim. They're being hot and aggressive will soon lead to early marriage. To raise a family is not just an easy job to do, sooner or later they come to realize how difficult to be a father and mother and the choice they have chosen.
The real scenario of LIFE will reveal.

  3. Jose Garcia Villa's "Footnote to Youth" is a great story which we can ponder unto. It had proven my idea that entering into a married life is a very difficult situation. It needs a careful examination before making any decision. We don't need to rush these things. We just have to enjoy our life because things never happen the same way twice. We have to wait for there is always a right time for everything.

  4. Well, I can relate in the story "Footnote to Youth" by Jose Garcia Villa because I am also a teenager and the story was all about a youthful scenario. The story gives me information and realizations which I can relate to reality. When it comes to love matters, we can never contradict. Love is love and we can never argue to that but too much love might be the cause of unexpected outcome. The realization that really struck me was that never rush things because in the end you will just be blaming why those things happened. Everything must be planned well. We have the right to make our decisions yet we just have to see-to-it the decisions that will be applied will bring us to have a good future and will not result us to blame ourselves.Yes it is true that regret is always at the end but we can avoid it if we only know how to decide things properly.

  5. Do not rush into love or marriage, because it will come at the right time when the person is ready. This is one of my realizations after I read the writing of Jose Garcia Villa entitled footnote to youth. In this story many people can really reflect, especially the youth of today's generation. As we all know many teenagers now are getting married at the young age, some reasons are the girl is pregnant or they are very eager to be with each other so they deciced to get married without knowing how hard married life is. Marriage is not an easy thing, because it's a lifetime commitment and we should bear that on our mind.

  6. In the story of Jose Garcia Villa the footnote to youth, we can really get many lessons from there. As the story shows a young man named Dodong who marry at a very young age, and regret it after knowing how hard life is. From this, I've realized that we would not know how hard married life is. unless we try it. Because as we look at married people we thought that there life is easy but its not. There are many responsibilities that are put on their shoulders, and if we marry at the young age, I dont think that we can handle all the responsibilities, because we are still immature. We should think first before doing something because we might regret it in the future.

  7. Footnote To Youth,a story that Jose Villa Garcia wrote is very meaningful. Now a days teenager is related regarding this story. Since some of them are facing some obligations even though they are not in a right age or should I say they are underage. But still, they gather to treasure this kind of life. Supposed to be as a teenager in fact, I don't want to be as one of them because as what I observe, some of them are suffering this kind of issue. That's why, I'm so inspired and i get some moral lessons in this said story.

  8. Their are lot of people who can relate to the said story "Footnote To Youth" which is written by Jose Garcia Villa, especially to us as a teenager.Footnote to Youth can be derive also as an inheritance of the family, this is because in the story, either good or bad things that happened to the father will reflect to his son that both of them married in an early age.At the end,the father and the son blamed theirselves and they realized that the things happened in the past will just be in the past and it cannot be rewinded and be change again.
In my case also,I realized that it is not easy to make a decision especially if it is in relation to our future. In making a decision we must think of it well,we need to plan step by step so that we will not be blaming ourselves if ever the result of our decision is not favorable for us.We need also to think positive, and most of all it's better to accept the reality than to deny that once in our life we've done something wrong.

  10. The story was all about the two young lovers who decided to get married at their young age, with out thinking of the consequences of what they did.As they go on with their lives, they've realized how hard it is to be a young parent. And time has come that their son decided to marry at his young age also, like what his parents experienced in the past.I like how Jose Garcia Villa presented it, in the sense that it reflects on REALITY. The story brought to us-youth many lessons;like we should not rush things, we should follow our parents because our parents knows what is best for us. We should think always of what would be the consequences if we would gonna make a certain things.
Jose Garcia Villa in that story, simply tells us that we should be wise in making decessions because one decission could make a LIFETIME CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Jose Garcia Villa's footnote to youth is a simple story yet has a great impact in our generation today;considering that there are so many young people nowadays who are having family at a wrong time. The story is all about the two lovers who decided to get married at their early age without thinking of what would be their future. The worst part there is the decisions they made before which they think now is wrong are done again by their son. I like the story because it teaches us lessons that in an early age everything must be cherished or enjoyed especially in love affairs. Everything has the right time to be settled on.It is not necessary that we must be in a hurry in getting married in order to be together with our partner.I like the way the story was presented in the sense that the writer is picking up some issues in real life scenarios that must be given a full concern!!

  12. I appreciate the way Jose Garcia Villa write the short story ''Footnote to youth''because the reader can relate with the situation of the characters especially the youth. It shows how to control our feelings when it comes to love. Our decisions in life must be planned for us to satisfy in our daily living. In his story, it gives idea that we must need to wait for the right time to got married so that we're physically prepared. The logic there is having relationship at early age is not advisable, in fact you must focus on study first before enter the kingdom of love.

  13. My observation about the story is about what is our youth of today. We can no longer prevent or avoid what is wrong about love. Love must be in the right time and place so that everything will be on the good way. But we are just human beings trying to do what we want to do in this world. As a student and a teenager, we must focus on our good future. We must sacrifice our eagerness in loving someone whom you wanted in your life. We must remember that GOD is always there to give us what is good for us.

  14. The most fitted story in our generation today is the "Footnote to Youth". It gives us important lessons that serve as our guide in order to achieve a successful and harmonious life in the future. As a teenager, it enlightened my mind that marriage is not just an easy job or a game, but rather it is a heavy responsibility accompanied by a lifetime commitment. It made me realize that before you get marry, you must be prepared and sure to your feelings. The most important lesson I learned, is to wait the exact time for everything because once you decide and failed, you never control the time to come back again.

  15. The short story of Jose Garcia Villa entitled ''Footnote to Youth''impart lesson for us as a youth of today because we all know that it's really happens in reality. The theme of the story helps the youth do better things and made them realized how important to decide especially when it comes to love. We must learned on how to planned our life and what we need to do first before letting ourselves enter in infinite relationship. It's normal for the teenagers to have mistakes since were not perfect and experience such problems. Above all, advice from parents is a big thing so that our life will triumph as what the writer said.

  16. The story of footnote to youth is one of interesting work of Jose Garcia villa because it face reality, it maintains the identity of the author. It also represents the author's literary effort as a writer. The theme of this story is "love will Triumph, Youth will triumph, and after that love.I learned out of this theme that we must wait exact time for everything specially in terms of love because once you are already failed on one thing you can never come back the time you've spending.

  17. Footnote to youth by; Jose Garcia Villa's 'Youth will triumph Love will triumph after that life' well i like the way of writing of the author because in the first paragraph, he represents the situation about young couples in which they are not yet ready to face their responsibilty as future parents. Because in the first place, they just go on with their both emotions and afterwards they realized that they should not follow their sentiments because in the end it can just fall everything. The point of the author is there is a disadvantage towards humans who got early marriage at early age.

  18. I like the beginning of the story, because it picture out the culture of the Filipino, and it contains lesson to the youth like me. The lesson I learn are, love can wait and marriage can wait, we should prepare ourselves before entering to this situation, because this is not a game, always remember regrets came at last. Jose Garcia Villa here write something related to what will happen to the youth, the problem that young age couple encounter "how hard and risky to be in marriage". We should consider also the feelings of our parents, just like in the story, Dodong ignore the feeling of his father to follow what he desire. The story say also what happen to father, it will happen to his son, and what his father feels, he also feels.

  19. Footnote to youth by Jose Garcia is one of the best story I've ever read. It talks about the reality of today's generation, because in this story Dodong and Teang are eager to get married even if they are too young for that lifetime commitment which is marriage, they just follow what they feel without thinking what will be the challenges they might encounter in the future. What I learned in the story is we should wait for the right time before we settle down because marriage is not easy as we think. - and it is a lifetime commitment.
